Our Story
In 2017, Mycelium IT was founded and officially incorporated in London on May 22nd with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
The idea for the company came about when long-term friends, Wade Timmings and Paul Harvey, were travelling and working in Europe. During their journeys, they witnessed the advantages of cloud technologies for enterprise businesses, attending events such as Cloud Expo Europe and AWS Summit.
Inspired by the efficiencies of cloud innovations, they shared their ideas with respective employers, earning the nickname "Cloud Men" from their colleagues.
After experimenting with cloud solutions to fix problems for a sample of clients, this led them to conceive that the benefits cloud technology brought to enterprise companies, could also be enjoyed by Small and Medium Businesses.
What started as a side hustle in London evolved into an Australian-based Managed Services Provider with a team spread across Melbourne, Sydney, London, New York and Florida. Our ethos is centered around getting the job done efficiently.
